Hello!, My name is Rick, and I am....a Doxyholic. I've served the weenie beasts for almost 20 years now....and currently am employed by AbbySaurus (Abby for short), a red smooth standard female...and Sierra, a red smooth mini Female, and they allow me to reside with them near Myrtle Beach SC.. In an effort to justify my wages....I write for them. Just Facts...hardley a single fabrication contained there-in......(ohrightsure). I hope you enjoy the tales (or tails if you prefer). MugShots are on the photo page of The Dachshund Network. Chapter 845877-48y943-8 coming up.

UPDATE: ABBEY IS HOME!

Dear Friends!...all the prayers and advice has brought ABBEY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!......at 6:30 this morning I heard my wife Scream, she had answered the phone (which I slept thru)...A man about 7 miles from our home asked if we owned a brown dog named Abbey. After jumping from bed and writing down directions, and dressing is yesterdays cloths I ran out the door to find my truck frozen over. Grabbing a cell phone I called the Shift leaving the Fire Station. Tony, one of my past Lieutenants came barreling into my driveway and off we went.

We drove up to find Abbey sound asleep on this ladie's couch, all bundled up in blankets. The Lady told us she had looked out her back glass doors and thought she saw a baby bear about 4 am. (Abbey 24 pounds ya know). At 6 am her husband was leaving for work and opened the front door and Abbey Bolted inside, terrified and shaking. She said right off she knew ABbey was an inside dog, and saw our number on the ID Tag. When I picked her up....she cried for 15 minutes while I thanked the lady, tried to give her a reward....and her 8 year old son..said no.....they were dog lovers, no reward could be accepted. They had fed her Bacon Treats while I was on the way.

She's sound asleep in Casey's room....exhausted...and eaten up with ant bites...or bee stings. In a bit we're taking her to her Vet for a check-up and to see about the Chip.

GOD BLESS Christmas!!!!!! and everyone who cared.
